IV Encontro Panamericano de Manejo Agroecológico de Pastagens – PRV nas Américas

The second Pan American Meeting on Agroecological Pasture Management (EPMAP) was held at the Faculty of Agronomy Eliseu Maciel of the Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel/RS) from April 7th to 9th, 2014. The Federal University was part of the organization of the event. of Santa Catarina (UFSC) through the PRV Research and Extension Center, UFPel, Embrapa Clima Temperado, Pelotas City Hall, Emater/RS, André Voisin Institute, Special Veterinary Medicine Class, FEPAGRO and INCRA. The meeting was attended by 500 people, where 25 scientific papers and 13 reports of national and international experiences in agroecological animal production were presented. Homage was paid to agronomist Nilo Ferreira Romero who implemented – in his Fazenda Conquista, Bagé/RS – in 1964, the first project of Pastoreio Racional Voisin in the world.
